Many people feel anxious about today’s barrage of alarming events (COVID, economy, inflation, supply chain risk, cultural, political, climate disruption, resource scarcities, war, etc.). Older people are wondering what world they are leaving behind for their (grand) children. While younger folks are anxious and worried about the future and diminishing possibilities to live a full life on a vibrant planet.
We wrote this book because we believe there is a better way to really help people out of anxiety and hopelessness fast so they can live with grace and joy and work on a truly thriveable 21st century.
A radically different approach must begin with learning how to see the big picture of what is now playing out on a global, cosmological scale. While the expression is "Can’t see the forest for the trees," using the Cosmic Lens will help you see the forest AND the trees.
Get to know the fundamental systems and mystical principles that always rule the universe and thereby our planetary processes. Knowing these will let you skillfully navigate the proverbial streams, instead of swimming against the currents or building dikes or bunkers.
Main outcomes from reading this book include:
• Understanding how old and new trauma can block most any progress.
• Knowing exactly how to choose where and how you can have impact without wasting precious energy or time.
• Having renewed hope for (grand)children, yourself, family, community, and nature.
To galvanize our work, we interviewed 30 thought leaders who are in the trenches of environmental awareness, consulting, executive coaching science, futurism, and higher education. Their insights and original, inspiring quotes make this a very timely book.

I just finished reading "The Cosmic Lens" and would highly recommend it for anyone who cares about their community and the environment but often feel overwhelmed from the immensity of the task. I especially appreciate the authors weighing in themselves with the ups and downs of their personal journey to model the experience as being shared and authentic. I also loved the use of guided imagery and story to illustrate a complex theme--too often presented with jargon and overly academic terms. I thought the linking of the global issues around environmental sustainability with those of becoming aware and overcoming personal trauma was extremely helpful and a necessary exploration. I often find myself outside of my margins from stress because of compounding sources, known and unknown. The best parts of the book for me are the practical steps presented in using the Cosmic Lens as a tool and steps to take in reviewing self-actualizing activities that may work to help me be more present in my life and focused on bigger picture goals I care about. The links to activities on your website were also extremely helpful and valuable for me.

Rarely does a reader come across a narrative that covers so many diverse subjects than the ones covered in this book. The title itself invokes a change in perspective and a call for all of us to transcend our views of reality and begin to see matters, all matters that pertain to humanity and its survivability from a far more inclusive perspective, a cosmic perspective.
The book challenges the notion that the world that we have known for the last few centuries can exist in perpetuity. It does so by offering a guide on how we can see reality in its fullest without any limitations imposed by social, cultural and psychological norms. One of the most critical chapters that spoke to me most was the one that details the psychological barriers that we must overcome as part of our collective shadow in order for us to see “the gold” in all the unprocessed trauma we have accumulated as a humanity.
The book offers advice on how people can align themselves with their calling, their archetypal psychospiritual nature and in the process develop greater resilience. It is also full of guidance on how to communicate effectively with different generations and how to develop empathic listening to bridge the different value systems divide.
I found The Cosmic View to be true to its claim offering a fully integrative perspective that combines the spiritual, psychological, cultural, and behavioral aspects of humanity to empower the individual and the collective in order to enable global transformation. I highly recommend it.

Many of us are anxious and asking ourselves - how will I survive, let alone thrive in a world where everything is uncertain and falling apart?
The Cosmic Lens is an important book for this time because it presents a surprising and radically new direction…. asking "what does the world need, instead of what do I or we need."
What if we learn to embrace the unknown and start to understand that first going inside ourselves is the entry way into a new world and toward a whole new way of being, for the world AND for ourselves? This seems contractionary in a world in crisis because, instead of doing things, The Cosmic Lens asks us to slow down and sense more deeply in what is here, in ourselves and in our environment and in Nature.
The book highlights how we will discover and understand the natural flow of life. If we allow to sense deeply and listen, we will find that there is much essential information beyond what we rationally can know.
In spite of the metaphysical nature and grave premise, The Cosmic Lens is anything but new-agey. Instead, it includes numerous practical tips and to-the-point quotes, as well as peer-reviewed survey results. Afterall, it's cocreated by a man and a woman, who were a highly accomplished environmental engineer and scientist in their previous careers.
The book is easily readable and includes multiple engaging self-assessments and action steps. It is a clear and hopeful guide for people who are in search of a new way forward in these disruptive times.
